ANDREW BOYD CMG, OBE, DPhil, FRHistS served as a submariner in the Royal Navy before joining the British Diplomatic Service. He received his DPhil from the University of Buckingham where he is a senior research fellow. He is the author of the widely acclaimed Royal Navy in Eastern Waters (2017), British Naval Intelligence through the Twentieth Century (2020), and Arms for Russia and the Naval War in the Arctic 1941 - 1945 (2024).
