David Lomas is Emeritus Professor of Art History at the University of Manchester. He has published extensively on surrealism and wrote on Hilma af Klint and botany for the 2013 retrospective at Moderna Museet. He is currently writing a book on the horse in art and literature for Reaktion Books.
