Gaby Wood is Chief Executive of the Booker Prize Foundation and former Head of Books at The Telegraph. Her book, ‘Edison’s Eve: A Magical History of the Quest for Mechanical Life’ (2003) was shortlisted for the National Book Critics Circle award for non-fiction. She is also an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
