Graeme Barker

Graeme Barker has been Disney Professor of Archaeology and Director at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at the University of Cambridge since 2004. He was previously Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Graduate Dean and Head of Archaeology at the University of Leicester, Director of the British School at Rome and Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. His books include The Agricultural Revolution in Prehistory: why did foragers become farmers? (2005) and, as editor with Monica Janowski, Why Cultivate? Archaeological and Anthropological Approaches to Foraging-Farming Transitions in Southeast Asia (2011).
