Jake Dow is a J.D. candidate at New York University School of Law, where he is a Student Scholar at the Reiss Center on Law and Security and an Arthur T. Vanderbilt Scholar. Jake holds an MPhil in International Relations and Politics, with distinction, from Cambridge University and a B.A. in Political Science, with honors in International Security Studies, from Stanford University. Stephen Paduano is a PhD candidate at the London School of Economics and an economist at the Finance for Development Lab. He previously served as a consultant to the UN Economic Commission for Africa and a member of the Economic Policy Committee of the Biden for President campaign. He has written for The Atlantic, The Economist, The Financial Times, and others.
