Dr John Merrington is a former Examination Fellow at All Souls College, University of Oxford. His research interests include Anthropology and the Writing of History in the Early Middle Ages. His doctoral monograph, ‘Windows of the Soul: the Five Senses in Early Medieval Europe’, was accepted for publication by Oxford University Press.
