Lars Vargö is a Distinguished Fellow and Head of the Stockholm Japan Centre, former Swedish Ambassador to Japan, and author of ‘Japan’s Past and Present’ (2024). He is also the founder of the Seoul Literary Society and the Tokyo International Literary Society.
