Michael Mazarr is a Senior Political Scientist at RAND. He has worked in the Department of Defense, the U.S. Congress, and other research organizations. He is the author most recently of a major RAND study on the societal foundations of national competitiveness and Leap of Faith: Hubris, Negligence, and America’s Greatest Foreign Policy Tragedy (PublicAffairs).
