Michael Pettis is a nonresident senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. An expert on China’s economy, Pettis is professor of finance at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, where he specializes in Chinese financial markets. Enrico Maria Fardella is Adjunct Professor at SAIS Europe and an Associate Professor in the Department of Social and Human Sciences at the University of Naples ‘L’Orientale’. He serves as the Director of the ChinaMed.it Project, Associate Director of the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs at John Cabot University in Rome, and a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, DC.
