Stephen Kotkin is the Kleinheinz Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, where he directs the Hoover History Lab. He is also the Birkelund Professor of History and International Affairs Emeritus at the former Woodrow Wilson School for International and Public Affairs, Princeton University. He is a member of the U.S.-based Council on Foreign Relations as well as the American Academy of Science and Letters, the Trilateral Commission and Bilderberg Meeting. He writes on geopolitics and authoritarianism.
