Jack Dickens

Jack Dickens is Commissioning Editor at Engelsberg Ideas. He is an historian and journalist with a particular interest in the geopolitics of Europe and the Middle East. He read History at Trinity College, Cambridge, and has a master’s degree in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford. He is currently writing a book on the 1881-1882 Urabi Revolt and the British occupation of Egypt, which will use British, French and Ottoman-Egyptian sources to retell the story of this transformative moment in world history.
