Rory Cox is a Senior Lecturer in History at the University of St Andrews. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, former Wallenberg Research Fellow at the Stockholm Centre for the Ethics of War and Peace, and former Humanities Collaboration Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology. Additionally, he is the author of ‘Origins of the Just War: Military Ethics and Culture in the Ancient Near East’ (2023).
